Lane Product Release Notes

5.9.0

New Features and Updates

  • User profiles are now visible to Workplace members (subscribers).

Bug Fixes

  • There was a bug preventing adding your personal credit card as a payment method, it's been fixed.
  • We also fixed a bug that was causing white screen (crashes) on mobile, when switching to an Organization (parent) channel.
  • Resolved an error preventing publishing content with certain filter settings.
  • Resolved an error causing ‘location services’ to remain on indefinitely.
  • Lastly, our team fixed the workflow allowing automatic Stripe charge reversal on failed submissions or purchases

New Features and Updates

  • We’ve made updates to mobile layouts.
  • We also updated the way we speak across the platform, making it easier for you to navigate.
  • Lastly, we made Improvements to directory search options. You’re now able to search by channels you’ve joined.

Bug Fixes

  • There was an error when adding Workflows to interactive content. We’ve fixed it.
  • There was an issue preventing password resets, you can now reset them!
  • Removing subscriptions now happens in real-time.
  • We made upgrades to mobile app stability.
  • A few fixes to unfriendly error messages.
  • Fix to time availability feature. It now shows correctly when interacting with the ‘Reservable; feature. 
  • Fixed flow for accepting channel invites.

5.8

New Features and Updates

  • As part of our latest update, each property has been equipped with 3 customizable default tabs: Home, Work, and Retail. 
  • We’ve added the ability to manage the statuses of interactions. Ie: can change the status of submissions from submitted, accepted, rejected, and more. Statuses allow for more robust workflow configurations on interactive content.
  • Improvements to how you interact with features.
    • The ‘Reservable’ function will now automatically pre-select the first available time by default. 
    • Features like Reservable and Payments interact more intelligently when turned on simultaneously.
  • Workflows have been introduced, allowing content creators to be notified of submissions to interactive posts/pages. 
  • User profiles now display that user’s email.
  • Feature added allowing users to manage companies tied to their workplace.
  • Payment methods can now be added to a company. (ie: use of a company credit card)
  • We've also implemented UI (user interface) improvements across the admin portal. This includes new buttons, toggles, switches, and links. 
  • Friendly errors - improvements to error messages across the product, ensuring they are readable and more helpful. 

Bug Fixes

  • We fixed a bug that was preventing the editing of pages within sections.
  • Improved stability of the channel switcher, fixing intermittent crashing on the mobile app. 
  • Fixed issue with workflow push notification reliability.
  • There was something off with time zones, we’ve fixed the issue. 
  • You can now delete user accounts.
  • Resolved bug with creating and editing templates. Users with appropriate permissions can create, read, and update templates. 
  • Added a ‘confirm’ step before making purchases/ interactions while in the admin view.
  • Fixed a bug with the ‘Time Availability’ feature, preventing times from being adjusted or saved, in Editor.
  • Multiple notification emails were being sent when a status on a workflow was changed. Resolved to send a single notification. 
  • Newly created teams were not visible on the Team Management page.
  • Fixed incorrect dates being shown on interaction receipts.
  • ‘Quantity’ feature fixed to display the correct quantity on a content card on web and mobile views.

5.6.0

New Features and Updates

  • The ‘Availability’ feature on interactive content has been expanded to include the ability to limit time availability for specific teams (ie: Only allow subscribers access to this feature/service between certain hours). 
  • The ‘Cancelling’ feature allows a user to cancel their submission on interactive content. (ie: a user can sign up for an event, then subsequently cancel). New improvements allow the cancellation feature to be made available to only certain user groups.
  • Subscribers can now add room bookings and reservable events completed in Lane to their external calendars.
  • It’s now possible to list a directory of members of a certain channel. In channels where this directory is shown, subscribers can opt-out of appearing in that directory. 
  • Properties that currently use SafeTrust’s services can now access that functionality via Lane! 🎉
  • We’ve also made a lot of optimizations across the platform for speed and usability. 

Bug Fixes

  • We fixed an issue that was causing menus on some mobile devices to disappear.
    Resolved error causing the app to crash when purchasing perks.
  • There was an error causing targeted Service and Amenity pages to show to all subscribers. We’ve fixed it so this no longer happens.
  • We resolved a pesky bug that was causing transaction rates to be rounded. 
  • We fixed a number of layout issues with Content blocks, Menus and the Content feed block within the Content Builder.
  • We’ve made improvements to the layout of analytics dashboards, mobile app pages, and content builder blocks. 
  • We resolved errors created when submitting interactive content.  
  • You can now process payments in USD currency. Merchant accounts now support for USD currency.
  • We pushed some fixes to the content editor including drag & drop functionality improvements, start/end date optimization in the Targeting step and stability improvements. 
  • We fixed layout issues for email notifications so they look better than before. 

5.4.0

New Features

  • Workflows is a complex set of features that allows for interactive content to send notifications to the post's creator and the subscriber. This functionality allows for the real-time setting of statuses. You can set statuses for interactive content submissions, approvals of those submissions, real-time alerts for RSVPs and much more. 

Bug Fixes

  • There are some fixes and optimizations for mobile layouts - content cards, home screen, and padding.
  • We made some improvements to the general stability of the content builder and optimized the builder blocks.

5.3.10

New Features

  • It's now possible to template your favorite retail promotions. 
  • It's now possible to change the primary login email on your profile tab. 
  • You could subscribe to a company channel on the mobile app. Now you can do the same on the web app. 

Bug Fixes

  • A bug with the calendar's date picker was preventing any content from being posted, resulting in missed posts and major headaches. Resolved as of 5.3.10.
  • Moving a row container using the arrows (instead of dragging & dropping) in the content builder, was causing a crash in the desktop app, in some instances. 
  • Improvements to stability of LiveSafe integration in the mobile app. 
  • Using and updating a template to create a post, saved those changes to the original template. 
  • Adding a new login email on the 'profile' tab was not showing the newly added email until the app was restarted.

5.3.5

New Features

  • Clicking any link from an email notification or from a web page that points to content within Lane, will now open that content inside the Lane mobile app.
  • Improvements made to how Terms and Conditions are surfaced on the Lane Web App and Mobile app. Custom T&C, EULA and Privacy Policy links can be added per white label.
  • For accounts making use of the ProxyClick integration for visitor management, additional improvements have been made to notification timing and reliability and accuracy of linked information particularly dates shown in the notification.

Bug Fixes

  • Previous to this fix, interactions or purchases in the ‘Things Coming Up’ tray would not be removed or replaced based on the post’s “Time Reset”. As of the fix, if the Reset Period is reached, the interaction will no longer be shown in the ‘Things Coming Up’ tray of the ‘Home’ tab. All past interactions can be found in the ‘Transactions’ menu of the ‘Profile’ tab on mobile and web.
  • Previous to this fix, if a new Service/Amenity Center page was created but not targeted, it would not be shown in the service and amenity center as a draft or published item. As of the fix, untargeted Service/Amenity Center post do not disappear and can be edited or targeted at a later date.
  • Fixed intermittent stability issues and possible crashing with LiveSafe integration on iOS devices.
  • Fixed an issue causing the ‘Content Block’ in the content builder (Admin Portal) to crash
  • Resolved delay time between submitting work order and receiving confirmation.
  • Optimized screen display for Angus integration on Android devices.
  • Changing buildings does not allow you to pick the floors you may have access to.
  • Fixed an issue with toggling between retailer types on mobile app.
  • Resolved an issue with ProxyClick integration where checkout notification was appearing repeatedly.
  • Implemented fix ensuing Interactions are tracked correctly.
  • Resolved issue causing transaction rates to be rounded after saving

5.3.2

New Features

  • The ability to allow transactions for tenant retailers and building service directly through the platform, via Stripe integration. Speak with you Lane Customer Success Manager for additional details. 
  • Live Chat widget and Knowledge Base have been updated with improvements to functionality and knowledgebase management. The updated knowledgebase can be found here: help.joinlane.com/academy 

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with misaligned description field on content hero cards.  
  • Fixed a number of integration-specific issues for Angus, CityMotion, and LiveSafe.

5.2.8

New Features

  • Searching for icons when building in the Content Builder, now includes the ability to search for icons using keywords and a fuzzy search.
  • When a subscriber joins a channel, it’s now possible to have them automatically added to another channel, including private channels. This option is available on each channel “Settings” page. 
  • Admins can add the option for subscribers to cancel their submission in Interactive posts, found in the Features tab in the Content Builder editor.
  • If a user interacts with any post in Lane, a receipt is generated for the user to track their submission. The user’s name is now automatically added to the receipt as a default.

​​Bug Fixes

  • We fixed a bug that was preventing the drafts in the Service & Amenity Center from loading. You can now delete drafts.​
  • Clicking on a link in a content card opens a single-window/tab on the web and mobile, as expected. 
  • When creating Interactive content with a limited number of entries, it was not possible to reset the number of available entries based on time.  We’ve fixed this and you’ll find it in the ‘Time Reset’ feature.
  • It was once possible to skip the building selection step on signup, resulting in a loading screen on the home page of the app. 
  • We corrected a snag that prevented editing profile information on Android mobile apps. We also noticed it on the webview and fixed it there.
  • Some users couldn’t see their building guides in the webview. We’re sorry, we’ve fixed it.
  • Resolved error related to interactive posts, causing questions with a ‘Required’ validation to be submitted without providing an answer. ​
  • Some users were being presented with a permission error on attempting to access the drafts section in the content center of the admin portal. 
  • Fixed an error preventing choosing the ‘No’ option, using the ‘Yes/No’ toggle input in the content builder. 
  • Optimized layouts for compatibility with iOS’ Dark Mode. 
  • ​Fixed error produced when selecting an icon for new Service & Amenity section
  • Optimized flow in switching between a Building and Company channel. Some users previously experienced lagging/intermittent crashing. 
  • A number of fixes implemented relating to permissions related to team management. 
  • Some users were seeing a ‘Not authorized’ error in the Promotions Center, despite having the correct permissions.
  • Fixed bug related to displaying promotions on the retail tab of the mobile app. 
  • ​Fixed bug related to subscribers opening promotions on the Retail tab of the mobile app. 
  • ​Bug fixed where months in date picker of the content center were duplicated and some missing. 
  • Fixed a bug where targeted channels in the content center were not appearing on the targeting page, despite being targeted correctly.

New Features

  • It's now possible to create templates for retail promotions.
