New features & enhancements

Invite Guests interactive feature

  • Removed a potentially confusing link in the email sent to invited guests that could lead to a Page Not Found error. This reduces confusion for guests who are not a member of the channel and cannot view a private event page or post.

  • Added explanation text to the Payment feature that it cannot be used if a Merchant Account is not set up.

Mobile Access (HID)

Improved messaging around Access Cards (Mobile IDs).

    • As a tenant using the Lane App user will now receive more appropriate messaging when setting up mobile access so that it’s more clear when their Mobile ID or credential is ready and available to use. In some cases the building needs to undertake a manual credential syncing step and users will receive a note letting them know that it can take up to 72 hours for the property team to take care of the credential syncing step.

    • Available to: This change will be available to anyone setting up a HID mobile credential on their mobile device

Made Foreground Access mode the default access mode for new users over Background Access mode. 

  • Users can choose between different unlock preferences: Foreground (unlocking doors when mobile app is brought to the foreground - app is open) or background (unlocking doors when mobile app is running in the background - app does not have to be open). We have now made Foreground the default unlock mode. Users can still opt in for the background scanning mode if they wish.
  • Available to: This will be available to net new users who download the app. This will not impact existing users, their access modes will remain as previously set.

Mobile Access (Safetrust)

Added the ability to generate log files (iOS)

  • If there is a need to troubleshoot issues with mobile access, super users can now export logs and share them. This will enable the development team to track down root causes easier in order to resolve issues more quickly. 
  • Available to: This will be available to Lane Admins and on iOS only

Conditional workflows (Dispatches)

The ability to create different workflows based on user selected options in interactive content. 

  • For example, we can have a single form that sends an email to maintenance, cleaning, or security based on an indicated category in the form.
  • In March we are expanding the flexibility of the available categories to better reflect the flexibility of the interaction form (i.e. nested fields)
  • Available to: This functionality is targeted at the Operations Admin users. Was initially introduced as a parity feature between Rise and Lane to facilitate the migration of a customer, but will be available and useful for all VTS Lane customers.

Updated Tables

The Team Management tool has been updated to allow for new functionality.

  • Export to CSV button allows for download of the list of members in a team in comma separated variable file format. This list can be used to outside of the platform.Tables_export_to_CSV.png
  • Relocated Remove User and Send Invite buttons. This allows for a cleaner UI and improved accessibility. Tables_Remove.png
  • Checkboxes have been added that allow for multiple members to be removed or resend invitation emails in one action. Table_bulk.png

User Profile default email

  • Automatically set the email used for registration to be the user profile email to ensure there is always an available method of communication with users.
  • This feature improves the user experience - users are no longer required to enter the email a second time. This also improves the tenant and building management experience, because there will always be a contact email address for users.

The Mobile Access tool has been updated to support all current languages:

  • English
  • Portugese
  • Brazilian Portugese
  • German
  • French
  • French Canadian
  • Spanish
