How To: Add Your Team Title and Description

What is a Team Title and Description?

As a member of one or more teams in a channel, you have the ability to include information about your role that other Lane users can view in your Profile.

For example:

  • You may be a member of a property management team responsible for the management of specific areas.
  • You may be a member of a health & safety, social, or a fitness team where potential new members may approach you with questions.

By adding a title and description about your role, other workplace members can identify you and your areas of expertise in the Lane workplace.

What is Public Membership?

The Public membership checkbox makes your team membership, title, and description of your role visible in your Profile.

For example:

  • If you are a member of a property management team, your Public membership makes it easier for workplace members to know which building(s) and areas you are responsible for.
  • If you are a member of a social or fitness related team, your Public membership makes it easier for workplace members with similar interests to know who they can approach with questions.
